Each year, we host teams from all over the United States — from churches, high schools and colleges. Teams generally come on their first trip to visit La Finca and participate in the construction projects that are ongoing. Additionally, some teams come to Nicaragua and go directly to a city where we have local ministry, helping the ministry leaders there.
Young Life Nicaragua not only exists to care for marginalized youth in the barrios of Nicaraguan cities, but it also seeks to help North Americans understand the riches to be found in the beauty of Nicaragua and it's people. Team members return to the U.S. with a new appreciation of their own culture and with a new vision for ministry in their local contexts.

Vida Joven/Young Life Nicaragua invites energetic young people to serve in Nicaragua as summer interns from June through mid-August. The intern serves as an ambassador for the ministry, a translator, and a host to the American teams who come from the US to complete work projects at the camp or in cities with existing ministries. This person is also a mediator between the Nicaraguan staff and the Americans who work together, enabling communication and friendships which supersede cultural and language barriers. The position offers an excellent opportunity for personal growth and trust in Christ while living in a cross-cultural setting.
